The Biomedical Discovery Workshop, hosted by the Department of Electronics and Automation at Isparta University of Applied Sciences Vocational School, was successfully completed on May 7, 2026, with the participation of academics and students. The event, aimed at introducing current technologies in the biomedical field and encouraging applied learning, was followed with great interest by the participants.


The opening speech of the program was given by Dr. Aygün IŞIK YILDIZ, Head of the Electronics and Automation Department at the Vocational School of Technical Sciences. In her speech, Yıldız emphasized the interdisciplinary importance of biomedical technologies and stated that the active participation of students in applied training processes is critical for their professional development.


Attending the event, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Öztürk delivered a speech on the university's scientific goals and student-centered education vision, highlighting the importance of efforts to strengthen applied education.


Within the scope of the workshop, Lecturer Ahmet Gürol Kalaycı introduced the biomedical device system and provided participants with the opportunity for hands-on training. In particular, the on-site examination of the devices' operating principles and technical components constituted a significant learning opportunity for the students. At the end of the event, participants were thanked for their contributions and presented with certificates of appreciation. The program concluded after answering participants' questions.


The Biomedical Discovery Workshop was regarded as a significant event aimed at increasing students' professional awareness, serving as a concrete example of a hands-on learning approach.
