Textile Technology Program
The Textile Technology Program is an associate degree program that trains professionals who are knowledgeable about raw materials such as fibers and related technologies, monitor and control production in areas such as weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, and garment manufacturing, perform machine maintenance, adjustment, and repair, and facilitate communication between workers and plant engineers. Students in the department receive training on all stages of production and gain knowledge and skills in business structure and management. Students in the Textile Technology Program earn the title of “Textile Technology graduate” after completing a two-year associate degree program.
Fields of Employment for Textile Technology Program Graduates
Textile Technology graduates have the opportunity to work in organizations and businesses engaged in production in their field. Textile Technology graduates have the following job opportunities and working conditions:
1- Textile factories
2- Stores selling ready-to-wear clothing
3- As a manager or assistant manager in private companies operating in the textile sector (weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, clothing)
4- As a master instructor at Community Education Centers
5- Their own workplaces
In the textile sector, a developed industry in our country that plays an important role in the national economy, job opportunities for skilled workers are high.
ISUBU Vocational School of Textile Technology Program
Isparta University of Applied Sciences, School of Technical Sciences, Department of Textiles, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather, Textile Technology Program has been accepting students since the 1997-1998 academic year. Placement is based on the TYT score obtained in the exam administered by OSYM.
Students in the Textile Technology Program at the Technical Sciences Vocational School of Isparta University of Applied Sciences are provided with the necessary knowledge and skills throughout their education. Theoretical knowledge is reinforced with practical applications thanks to the existing machinery and computer laboratories.
Our program includes “Workplace Training,” which consists of three semesters of classes and a fourth semester of workplace application.
