Occupational Health and Safety Program

This is a technical program that provides training to become an Occupational Health and Safety Technician, aiming to create a safe working environment in Turkey, prevent potential accidents and injuries that may occur in the workplace, minimize work-related accidents and occupational diseases, educate employees and employers on their rights and obligations under labor law regarding social security, ensure industrial peace, and thereby contribute to the national economy and development. Thus, it is a program with the potential to fill a significant gap in meeting our country's need for qualified personnel in occupational health and safety. Students in the Occupational Health and Safety Program earn the title of ‘Occupational Health and Safety Technician’ after completing a two-year associate degree program.

Work Areas of Occupational Health and Safety Program Graduates

Graduates of this department have a wide range of employment opportunities. They can find work in the Ministry of Labor and Social Security's Occupational Health and Safety Directorates, other public institutions, and the private sector. With the newly revised laws in our country, it has become mandatory to carry out Occupational Health and Safety-related work in both the public and private sectors, and new sanctions have been introduced. As a result, the demand for Occupational Health and Safety graduates in businesses is steadily increasing.
