Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program
The Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program is a technical program that provides education and training on the industrial applications of nuclear technologies. It equips students with knowledge and skills in basic nuclear structure, radiation sources and application areas, radiation shielding principles, the biological effects of radiation, radioactive materials and waste management, applied health physics, reactor theory and operation, as well as national and international nuclear regulations and legislation. One of the primary goals of our program is to train the intermediate workforce and radiation safety technicians needed for the nuclear power plants to be established to meet our country's energy demands.
Occupational Fields for Graduates of the Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program
Principal Employment Areas for Program Graduates:
Nuclear power plants, radioisotope production centers, state and private hospitals, calibration firms, and institutions or organizations that produce radioactive materials or provide services using radioactive sources.
IUAS TBMYO Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program
Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Department of Electricity and Energy, Nuclear Technology and Radiation Safety Program has been admitting students since the 2021-2022 academic year.
The program's course content is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to work in nuclear power plants, as well as in fields such as radiology, medical imaging, and nuclear medicine within state and/or private hospitals.
Our program implements "Vocational Education in Enterprise," which includes three semesters of coursework followed by a workplace application in the fourth semester.
