Structural Insulation Technology Program

In the Civil Engineering Department, Structural Insulation Technology Program, students are taught practical applications such as checking construction projects, drawing with computer-aided programs, performing quantity surveying and estimation, and conducting soil and concrete tests. In addition, education is provided within an approach that covers the entire construction sector, including different fields such as highways, excavation, filling, and port works. The aim of this program is to train technical staff who will meet the need for qualified mid-level workforce in the developing technology, prevent unplanned, uncontrolled, and low-quality construction, ensure the safety of life and property, prevent waste of national resources, and produce projects and structures in contemporary norms and standards. For this purpose, in addition to theoretical knowledge, practical information to be used in the field and licensed training of computer programs related to the department (AUTOCAD, etc.) are provided in our program. Students who successfully complete the associate degree program consisting of compulsory and elective courses graduate.

Career Opportunities for Structural Insulation Technology Program Graduates

IUAS TBMYO Structural Insulation Technology Program

The Structural Insulation Technology program admits students based on the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT). The courses in the program are quantitative-based. The program provides a 2-year associate degree education. The curriculum is generally quantitative-weighted, involving laboratory and computer applications.

The course contents of the Structural Insulation Technology Program are frequently updated to ensure the tracking of market needs and technological developments. As of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, the program contents have been updated, and courses including software needed in the construction sector have been added to the curriculum.

The Construction Program implements the "Workplace Vocational Education" model used by Isparta University of Applied Sciences. Under this model, students have the opportunity to graduate as ready-to-work professionals by completing one of their academic semesters at a workplace related to their field. Furthermore, in addition to this workplace training, students are required to complete a 30-day internship to gain exposure to different sectors within the industry.
