An Academic Council meeting was held in Auditorium No. 101 of the Technical Sciences Vocational School at Isparta University of Applied Sciences Technical Sciences Vocational School, with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL. The meeting, which was also attended by School Director Dr. Hakan YÜKSEL and his assistants Assoc. Prof. Halit ÇETİNER and Assoc. Prof. Hatice Varol ÖZKAVAK, brought together academic staff and university management.
The meeting began at 11:00 a.m. on September 24, 2025. The meeting began with a speech by School Director Dr. Hakan YÜKSEL, who provided information on the Technical Sciences Vocational School and the school's educational programs. YÜKSEL shared information on the school's overall situation, including teaching programs, student numbers, and academic achievements. Support services and academic resources offered to meet student needs were also discussed.
At the YÜKSEL meeting, all staff were informed about the unit evaluation processes for the Cosmetic Technology, Machinery, and Electronic Technology programs, which will take place between October 6, 2025, and October 8, 2025. It was noted that the MEDEK process is ongoing. It was emphasized that, due to our university's preparation for the YÖKAK evaluation, it is important for all staff to carefully review the Unit KIDR and BIDR Reports once again.
Afterwards, Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL gave an informative speech to TBMYO staff on topics such as teaching programs, student achievements, the development of academic resources, and efforts to create resources so that students can receive a better education.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL thanked the academic staff and academic council, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong environment of communication and cooperation. He also stated that the meeting was an opportunity to move forward in line with the school's overall goals and that everyone's active participation was the key to success. This meeting was an important step towards improving the quality of education at Isparta University of Applied Sciences, providing students with a better educational experience, and meeting the needs of academic staff.
Topics discussed at the meeting included updates to teaching programs, improvements to student support services, increasing academic resources, and monitoring student success. Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL discussed the process of participating in the Institutional Accreditation Program, which will improve the quality process at our university.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL presented plaques to Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin Ali DAĞHAN and Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin TEMİZ, who retired from our school, thanking them for their efforts in nurturing human resources that add value to our university, our school, and most importantly, our country.
Traditional Handicrafts Lecturer Özdemir ESGİN and Cosmetic Technologies faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil KILIÇ and Lecturer Dr. Mustafa YILMAZER , were presented as gifts to all staff members, including Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz ÇATAL, by TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Hakan YÜKSEL at the end of the meeting.
