As part of the Mapping and Cadastre program at the TBMYO Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, we conducted a highly productive technical trip with our students. As part of the trip, we had the opportunity to visit important government institutions in the capital, Ankara.

We began our visits with the General Directorate of Mapping (HGM). Here, HGM Director Brigadier General Dr. Yavuz Selim Şengün and Colonel Ersin Akiz provided us with valuable information about mapping and cadastre applications, current technologies, and the functioning of the institution. We had the opportunity to better understand the role of HGM in the sector and the importance of its work.

We then continued with a visit to the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM). Ekrem Ayyıldız, Head of the TKGM Mapping Branch, and Arda Günay, Head of the Support Services Unit, briefed us on current practices in the field of land registry and cadastre. The technical information regarding TKGM's operations made a significant contribution to enhancing our students' professional knowledge.

The final stop on our trip was Anıtkabir. At this sacred site, a symbol of the Turkish nation's struggle for independence and freedom, we visited the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This visit was not just a technical tour, but also a meaningful experience that reinforced our commitment to our national values.
